OTTAWA – City “Budget Watchers” will track how the Mayor and councillors vote on funding of crucial programs and services starting Monday, February 26.

The Ottawa Budget Coalition will launch Budget Watch on Monday with members handing out scorecards to people coming down to watch and listen as Council debates the draft 2007 budget.

Budget Watch scorecards will enable residents to keep track and score how the Mayor and councillors vote on every budget item from child care to public health to water services.

The Ottawa Budget Coalition is a network of community and labour organizations campaigning for a healthy budget for a growing city.
