the Foyer Rameur du Nord in Petit Rocher

Why: The Foyer Rameur du Nord was founded in Petit Rocher 22 years ago, as a group home for youth in difficulty and for young offenders. Both French and English speaking young people have come from all over the province. Since last July, 13 of the15 educators and overnight staff have either been fired, forced to resign or have taken long-term sick leave.

CUPE Local 3179, representing staff at the Foyer, is holding this news conference to launch a public campaign aimed at saving the Foyer Rameur du Nord.
