With controversy still surrounding the contracting-out of cataloguing services at the Regina Public Library, there’s news library management is about to pick a much bigger fight with CUPE members. The library board recently published an ad seeking private sector partners to build a new central library. Library management says they’re just testing the waters, and aren’t committing to a P3 project. But they had a similar line for the cataloguing, pitching it as a trial project that quickly became permanent.
