Members of CUPE distributed a leaflet at subway stations surrounding Queen’s Park on Tuesday, February 19, in advance of the Ontario Throne Speech. The leaflet includes 15 reasons to support collective bargaining.

“Collective bargaining and independent contract arbitration are important not just to union members, but to all Ontarians,” said CUPE Ontario President Fred Hahn. “We are raising awareness about those benefits, which include parental leave and workplace safety standards. We will be watching the Throne speech for a clear statement from the government that they will not pursue their attacks on these important rights.”
