Inspired by the story of residential school survivor Phyllis (Jack) Webstad from the Stswecem’c Xgat’tem First Nation, people across Canada have commemorated September 30 as Orange Shirt Day since 2013, and now also mark the day as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

All equity-deserving CUPE members (Indigenous, Black and racialized CUPE members, women, 2SLGBTQI+ members, members with disabilities and young workers) are invited to a virtual training on how we can engage members and build our power as union activists. Register now and spread the word!
