CUPE New Brunswick is pleased to invite you to Women United Against Austerity, a multiregional women’s conference for CUPE members from Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and New Brunswick. This conference offers a rare opportunity to explore common challenges as governments in our regions pursue budget cuts, privatization, reduction of public services and anti-union attacks. Together we will gain a deeper understanding of the particularly negative effects of the austerity agenda on women. We will also share strategies for resistance and learn more about policy and planning tools that can help us achieve the equality of women and men in all their diversity. We will hear from inspiring speakers and participate in workshops on gender budgeting, campaigns, political action and much more.
Come join us in Moncton!
