Essex Each day, community living agencies and front line developmental service workers help people with intellectual disabilities gain the skills and confidence needed to live fully in our community.

To recognize the commitment and dedication of support workers in ensuring the well-being and growth of people with intellectual disabilities and their families, Community Living Essex County staff (CUPE 3137), and the agency administration, are hosting a tree-planting celebration on Monday, May 16.

The symbolic planting part of Community Living Awareness Month highlights the important work community living staff do helping people with intellectual disabilities blossom and stay rooted in community. Individuals receiving support from Community Living Essex County, and their family members and friends, are invited to the celebration.
