Following the example of their colleagues in neighbouring towns, outside workers at the Ville de Dollard-des-Ormeaux, DDO, voted 100% in favour of pressure tactics up to and including going on strike when appropriate.

“After Pointe-Claire and Dorval, now it’s DDO’s outside workers who are taking a stand and mobilizing to improve their working conditions,” explained Jean-Pierre Lauzon, president CUPE 301,  the Syndicat des cols bleus regroupés de Montréal. “Discussions have stalled over work schedules and wages. DDO needs to stay attractive to workers now that neighbouring towns are offering better jobs.”

There are about 120 outside workers at the Ville de Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Their last collective agreement expired on December 31, 2024.
