Plans are well advanced for the Days of Action being organized from October 13 - 16 by the Canadian Federation of Students.
The students, with support from CUPE and other organizations are calling for the federal government to restore funding to social programs, assuring that post-secondary education is accessible and prohibiting private, for-profit education.
Across the country activities include a campus forum in Cranbrook, puppet theatre and a march on Province House in Halifax, rallies in Montreal and Regina and a funeral march marking the “death of accessibility” in Winnipeg.
CUPE members are encouraged to support activities in your area. For more information call 1-800-789-5870 or e-mail (campaign@cfs.fcee.ca).
