The 25 striking members of CUPE Local 3017 at the Daybreak Parent Child Centre in St. John’s vote today on a tentative settlement.

The deal mirrors the provincial government standard of a six per cent raise (0-0-3-3) over the next four years. CUPE National Rep. Brian Farewell credits “innovative budget rearranging” on Daybreak’s part with solving the problem for the workers, who have been on the picket line since Jan. 10 over unfair pay and classification issues.
