(Halifax) Child care workers at a Dalhousie University daycare have reached a tentative agreement with the Halifax Student Housing Society.

The 16 child care workers, members of CUPE Local 3592, are employed by the non-profit society at Dalhousie University. They provide childcare to undergraduate students. The day care is located in Peter Green Hall on Wellington Street.

CUPE National Representative Larry Power says, The workers will hold a ratification vote on February 4 at 5:30 p.m. Both sides are recommending acceptance of the agreement.

The main stumbling block in the dispute was wages.
