(Halifax) Part-time instructors and teaching assistants at Dalhousie University will hold a rally today, Tuesday February, 17th, at 1:00 pm in front of the Dal Student Union Building.
The members of CUPE Local 3912 are currently gearing up to hold strike votes, as a show of support for their negotiating committee. Details of where and when the strike votes will be held will also be announced.
Local 3912 also represents 200 teaching staff at SMU, who recently reached a tentative agreement, as well as part-time instructors at Mount Saint Vincent University.
All three contracts expired on August 31, 2003. Bargaining continues at DAL and the Mount.
