OTTAWA - Paul Moist, National President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees, will present CUPE’s priorities and recommendations for the 2007/08 Federal Budget tomorrow, September 28, 2006. Mr. Moist will meet with the Standing Committee on Finance at 10 a.m. in Room 269, West Block.

For Canada to prosper and maintain a high quality of life in a rapidly changing world, the federal government must increase its investments in public services and strengthen our social and environmental standards, Moist said. “As Canada’s largest union, our voice and experience is unique. We proudly serve the public interest in every community in Canada.”

CUPE represents over half a million workers across Canada.
