HAMILTON The Canadian Union of Public Employees Local 1041 has won the right to represent approximately 200 frontline supervisors employed by the City of Hamilton.

The vote was ordered by the Ontario Labour Relations Board following the creation of the new, amalgamated city.

I am pleased to welcome our new members, said CUPE Local 1041 President Steve Clarke.

In the times ahead, with the changes the city is going through, Local 1041 will be there for all frontline supervisors in every department.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees represents 180,000 workers in Ontario, most of whom work for municipalities, hospitals, school boards, universities and social service agencies.
