National President Judy Darcy will deliver her speech to the 250 delegates attending the CUPE Saskatchewan convention at 11:00 a.m. today in Saskatoon’s Radisson Hotel.

2. News conference at 1:15 p.m. with group home workers who are filing human rights complaints today, International Women’s Day

Almost 40 group home workers from Preeceville, Sturgis and Moose Jaw will file pay discrimination complaints with the human rights commission today. The group home employees work for agencies entirely funded by the Department of Social Services, but they are paid much less than government employees doing work of equal value. National CUPE President Judy Darcy will join CUPE group home workers Joanne Mountney and Veronica Erickson at this news conference. The news conference will take place in the Venice Room at the Radisson Hotel.
