On the day after the 2008 Ohio Democratic primary - in which NAFTA was such a vote-determining issue - activists, legislators and academics from all over North America gathered in Washington D.C. to analyse and organise against both NAFTA and the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP). The Washington meetings were held in advance of the next SPP Leader’s Summit which will be held in New Orleans April 21st and 22nd.
