VANCOUVER CUPE members at LSG/Skychef, an airline catering service at Vancouver International Airport, have voted 97 per cent to reject the employers last offer.

“LSG/Skychef used intimidation and coercion tactics against our members leading up to the Labour Board-supervised vote, said CUPE Local 8810 president Craig Byers. But our membership proudly stood together and delivered a strong message to the employer that enough is enough.”

“We want our customers to know that our members will continue to produce the finest quality and service that they are accustomed to, Byers added. Despite LSG/Skychefs volatile attitude towards the issues and our members, we will not inconvenience our customers or their passengers.

The main outstanding issues are a wage rollback and staffing levels. No job action is being considered.
