Toronto–Bright young minds are our future. And the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) believes every young person with ability has a right to a university education. But government under-funding of post-secondary education means university and college administrations are increasing tuition fees to balance their budgets.

Raising tuition fees to make up for the lack government funding is just plain wrong, and restricts access to post-secondary education for the children of working families on the basis of ability to pay, instead of the ability to learn,” says Sid Ryan the Ontario president of CUPE.

Ryan will attend a rally in support of quality, public post-secondary education, tomorrow, Tuesday February 5 at the University of Guelph, University Centre Courtyard beginning at 12 noon.
