SYDNEY, NS - CUPE Nova Scotia will be launching a campaign in Sydney today designed to remind business leaders and the province’s business community about the central role that the public sector – and public employees - play in our province’s economy.

The campaign kickoff will take place Tuesday, September 13 at the Kwik Kopy store at 200 Charlotte Street in downtown Sydney at 12:00 noon CUPE Nova Scotia President Danny Cavanagh will be making a brief statement at that time.

CUPE’s 18,000 members who live, work and shop in every corner of the province will play a central role in the campaign.  It will also feature radio and newspapers ads as well as meetings with the Chambers of Commerce and Regional Development Authorities across the province.
