CUPE’s second national strategic meeting on HIV and AIDS will be held on October 29 and 30 in Ottawa, demonstrating CUPE’s commitment to this important issue, both in and beyond the workplace.
CUPE is focusing on many aspects of the HIV and AIDS fight, in the workplace, in the community and internationally. Our connection to others working on this issue is critical for a coordinated response.
The meeting will bring together activists and representatives of CUPE locals involved in one way or another in the fight against HIV-AIDS. Allies from many organizations will attend.
CUPE is currently developing a policy document on HIV-AIDS. One of the objectives of the meeting is to contribute to this process by allowing participants to share their experiences and ideas.
