(Ottawa) National leadership from the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Canadas largest union, will be in Lethbridge this week to celebrate the 54th Annual Convention of CUPEs Alberta Division.

Paul Moist, National President, and Claude Gnreux, National Secretary-Treasurer, will join 200 CUPE Alberta members March 25th through March 27th.

Both will talk about the importance of building strong communities – and CUPEs success in defeating P3 schemes across the country as Alberta members poise themselves to fight P3s in communities across Alberta. Broad concern about privatization and the false solution of P3s will only increase in the aftermath of Paul Martins first budget as Prime Minister, where fiscal debt reduction has triumphed over Canadas increasing social debt.
