May 11th to 17th, 2025 has been designated Disability Service Professionals Week in Saskatchewan. This recognition, now in its eighth year, highlights the dedication of skilled professionals who ensure that people with disabilities receive vital support and are fully included in their communities.
Approximately 800 CUPE members in Saskatchewan work in the disability service sector, playing a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and providing person-centered care. Their efforts help create a more supportive and accessible environment for individuals with disabilities across Saskatchewan.
