CUPE 87 kicks off the new year by welcoming 40 new members, after a successful representation vote between CUPE and IBEW. The representation vote was conducted due to a sale of a business and the workers from Thunder Bay District Housing Corporation will now be represented by CUPE.

We are extremely pleased to welcome our newest members to our CUPE family,” said Marie Dean, president of CUPE 87. “We are looking forward to representing our new members and negotiating a fair contract for them.”

CUPE 87 represents 700 members who provide important municipal services in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
