(Sydney) – Cape Breton Transition House will be receiving 100 teddy bears from an unlikely source this week – its own staff.

CUPE National Representative Kathy MacLeod says, “The members of CUPE Local 3008 will be presenting the bears to Executive Director Bea LeBlanc at an open house on Friday, June 15 at 2:00 pm.  The open house is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.”

“We know that these bears will go to good use and brighten up some young faces, and can play a small part in the important work that this facility provides for our community,” says MacLeod.
