FREDERICTON – CUPE Local 2745, who represents New Brunswick Educational and Clerical Support Staff in the Schools and District Offices, has ratified a new Collective Agreement.

The members voted 73.6% in favor of the new 3-years Collective Agreement”, explained Sandy Harding, President of CUPE Local 2745.

This Collective Agreement is a step forward for our members but there are still some improvement needed on issues such as guaranteed hours of work”, explained Harding.

The workers will receive an average wages increase of more than 12% over 3 years.

CUPE Local 2745 represents over 3000 Teacher Assistants, School Secretaries/ Clerical, Library Assistants, District Office Clerical Support Staff, School Intervention Workers and Student/Bus Attendants.
