HALIFAX Organizers of a benefit dance and auction for Theresa McEvoy, the Halifax School Board EPA who died tragically on October 14 when her car was hit by a stolen vehicle, were on hand at a special ceremony at Westmount School today.

Representatives from CUPE Local 108 presented a cheque on behalf of the union to the Theresa McEvoy Trust Fund in the amount of $14, 739.

The union thanked the public and all who participated in the dance and auction. The Trust Fund will be accepting donations until the end of February.

The fund was set up by Westmount School to help her three surviving sons.
