Ottawa - The Canadian Union of Public Employees will launch a national campaign for Water Renewal at a news conference on:

Wednesday, December 8, 1999
at 10:15 a.m.
in Room 130-S,
Parliament Hill.

CUPE National President Judy Darcy will be joined by David Hall, an international water expert from the UK, who will discuss the huge increase in the price of water that occurred after water systems in other countries were taken over by private corporations.

At 11:00 a.m., CUPE National President Judy Darcy will offer a toast to Canadian public water systems in front of a Water Renewal campaign billboard located at the southwest corner of Bank Street and Laurier Avenue.
