(Halifax) – The Canadian Union of Public Employees will hold a news conference this afternoon at 3:00 pm at the Halifax Citadel Hotel, in the Cavalier Room.
The union is currently in bargaining on behalf of 3,300 hospital workers in the eight District Health Authorities outside the Capital District.
CUPE hospital workers are currently the only union that is actually in bargaining with the DHA’s, and recently broke off conciliation talks.
The first in a series of strike votes is scheduled to take place tomorrow in Sydney.
