MEDIA ADVISORY

PEMBROKE Workers from Wise Owl Daycare in Pembroke, members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), will host a town hall style public forum on childcare on Tuesday, September 26th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The public meeting is an opportunity for parents and local activists, as well as concerned workers, to let municipal politicians know how important publicly funded, accessible daycare services are to the community.

With the recent downloading of daycare responsibilities to the municipal level, it is important to develop comprehensive daycare plans offering quality care in the community.

(Attention Assignment/Photo Editors: The public forum will be held beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 26th, at the Pembroke Curling Club, 426 Herbert Street, and is open to the public)
