OTTAWA – CUPE National President Paul Moist today joined the chorus of complaint against Vancouver radio personality Bruce Allen.

“Canada is all about people from all over the world coming here and calling the place home. It always has been. It always will be. And rightly so,” he said. “Why doesn’t Bruce Allen get that?”

Moist said he supported MP Raymond Chan’s CRTC complaint against the station for airing the rant.

“These sorts of comments are never acceptable not on a bus, nor in a bar, but when the comments are amplified a million times over by being broadcast over public airwaves, it’s incumbent on us to talk back and loudly,” Moist said.
