CUPE’s National Aboriginal Council was founded on May 5, 2006, to battle against the many barriers that have long stopped aboriginal workers from fully participating in Canadian society. In solidarity with aboriginal peoples, CUPE celebrates the new council with beautiful artwork created for this historic occasion.
