Ottawa, Ont. – Students and university and college workers from the Ottawa area will converge on Parliament Hill this Wednesday in a mass rally as part of the National Day of Action to Reduce Tuition Fees.

Representatives of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) are pointing to the negative effects of soaring tuition fees, increased campus user fees and the contracting out of campus jobs to low-wage contractors—all a direct result of Ontario government policies that are privatizing the delivery of post-secondary education.
