CUPE is front and centre at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities Sustainable Communities Conference in Windsor, Ontario, February 13 to 15. CUPE is there to show municipal leaders, staff and others that our members are on the frontline helping to make our communities greener and more sustainable.

The conference features a wide range of speakers and workshops looking at how climate change and other environmental issues present both challenges and opportunities for Canadian municipalities. Infrastructure resilience and renewal, improving and expanding public transit systems, and using innovative solutions for greening our communities are among the topics on the conference agenda.

As Canada’s community union representing workers in cities and town across the country, our members are bringing forward ideas and energy to be part of the solutions to today’s critical environmental issues.
