While I was in Niagara Falls for the OMECC conference, I had the honour to christen the new Flying Squad bus.

Founded two years ago, the Flying Squad is a group of dedicated CUPE activists from Local 966 who travel across Ontario to show support for a wide range of charities and social causes, and to show solidarity with brothers and sisters from CUPE and other unions at rallies or on the picket line. In proud CUPE colours, the Flying Squad bus will make them hard to miss.

I was joined by CUPE 966 President MaryJo Falle, and CUPE 133 President Cathy Slee for the christening.

You can find out more about the Flying Squad on the CUPE 966 website at 966.cupe.ca.
