CUPE Local 5500 representing Fleet Supervisors, Transit Supervisors and Special Constables at OC Transpo, ratified a new four-year collective agreement with the City of Ottawa today.

The new collective agreement will be retroactive to April 1, 2011 and will expire March 31, 2015.

Highlights of the agreement include wage increases of 1.5 per cent this year, 1.75 per cent in both 2012 and 2013 and 2.2 per cent in 2014 and across the board benefit increases over the term of the contract.

This agreement also includes a pay grid adjustment following a five years Joint Job Evaluation Process to bring Local 5500 members in line with similar City’s employees.
