TORONTO — The Canadian Union of Public Employees has reached a tentative agreement with Kids and Company, averting a strike that could have disrupted child services for hundreds of children and families in Toronto and Ottawa.

About 120 early childhood educators, members of CUPE 4823, will meet early next week for ratification votes in both cities. Details of the agreement will remain confidential until the votes have been held.
