CUPE 4400 members and supporters will demonstrate together outside the Toronto District School Boards offices today (Wednesday, April 25, 2001) to press trustees to return to the bargaining table.
Well be calling on trustees to do whats necessary to reach a fair, negotiated settlement, says CUPE 4400 president John Weatherup. A negotiated settlement is the only acceptable solution to end the strike. Trustees need to lead their negotiating team to that solution.
In print ads that ran in Toronto papers today, parents were encouraged to call trustees and demand the board return to the table with a revised offer, to match the unions.
