The Teaching and Graduate Assistants (TAs and GAs) of CUPE 3905 at Lakehead University have rejected the university’s final offer, and are asking the university to return to the bargaining table.

Obviously we are disappointed with the university’s final offer.  In an attempt to
avert a strike, we are asking the university to return to the bargaining table,” said
CUPE National Representative Mike Walters.

With the new workload, no job security and the rise in tuition fees we really believe
our members must receive a higher wage package than the university is offering.
Their wage offer is the lowest of any universities across the province,” he concluded.

Further information will be released when the university responds to the request for
a return to the table.
