CUPE’s national officers joined CUPE 3372 members today on their picket line in Fredericton.

CUPE National President, Paul Moist, and CUPE National Secretary-Treasurer, Claude Généreux, braved the wind and heavy snow to walk alongside the 6 cafeteria workers on strike since February 4.

“You may be a small local but you’re not alone, you have the support of almost 600,000 CUPE members across this country”, said Moist.  “We are here today to send a message to Aramark that we want to put an end to that low-wage cycle.”

Members of CUPE 3372 work at the Hugh John Flemming Forestry Centre. They prepare and serve food for the students at the Maritime College of Forestry Technology and for the provincial and federal government employees.
