FREDERICTON- CUPE Local 1252, which represents over 8000 health care workers, reached a tentative agreement with the Provincial government.

CUPE Local 1252, the New Brunswick Council of Hospital Unions (NBCHU) has been in negotiations with the government since last October.

“The negotiating committee is recommending the membership’s acceptance of this tentative agreement”, said Norma Robinson, President of CUPE Local 1252.

The details of the tentative agreement will not be released to the public before the ratification vote, which will be held on July 16.

CUPE Local 1252 represents employees of Intuitional, Clerical, and Patient Services.

The collective agreement expired in June 2007.
