CUPE members at Radiomd0069a network station CHRC have filed a brief with Canadas broadcast regulator arguing against the destruction of Radiomd0069a.

Corus Entertainment plans to shut down the regional news network and close several stations in smaller Qub0065c cities.

To deprive 600,000 people of their regional news, as Corus intends, is humiliating, said CUPE 2645 spokesperson Bruno Perron.

The cutbacks in regional programming will lead to the Montrealization of Qub0065cs airwaves, Perron argues.

The Corus plan would reduce weekly regional programming to 20 hours from 51. Radiomd0069a stations would share journalists where now each has its own, and regional programming would be replaced with programming from Montra006c.
