Speaking with vehemence against the Canadian government and its corporate partners, CLC President Bob White reminded delegates that coalitions of working people everywhere are the key to winning fights against poor-bashing and in support of social programs.

“If a mother assaults her child, it’s called child abuse,” said White, quoting mother and New Brunswick MP Angela Vautour, “but when the Liberal government does it it’s called deficit fighting.”
