Last week, City of Sherbrooke’s outside workers reached a tentative agreement with their employer on the details of a new contract. Last night, city’s Executive Committee approved the details of the agreement and it is now the members’ turn to ratify it at a general meeting.

We will organize a special general meeting as soon as possible so that our members can decide for themselves on the new collective agreement. We are very proud of what we have accomplished at the bargaining table and look forward to presenting the results,” said Réal Leboeuf, CUPE representative.

Out of respect for its members, the union will not give interviews on the new collective agreement until the members have read it.
