OTTAWA, Ont. – Members of the Carleton University Academic Staff Association (CUASA) will join the CUPE 2424 picket line at 12 noon on Wednesday, September 12 to march in solidarity and present a cheque for $10,000.

We are proud to be walking with our support staff colleagues,” said CUASA President Susanne Klausen. “We cannot do our jobs properly without them. The members of CUPE 2424 are an essential part of the institution.”

The 700 office, academic support, IT, health, library and technical workers have been on strike since September 5.

The solidarity picket and cheque presentation will take place at the Bronson entrance to Carleton at 12 noon, Wednesday, September 12, 2007.
