(Sydney) - The cleaning staff at Cape Breton University have reached a tentative agreement with their employer, Compass Canada.

CUPE National Representative Kathy MacLeod says, “The 31 members of Local 2733 reached the deal yesterday, with the help of a Conciliator.  We will be presenting the package to employees for a ratification vote as soon as possible.”

MacLeod says, “The local negotiating committee is pleased with the package.  The union believes it’s a good deal for these hard-working, dedicated workers.”
