Health care support workers are the pillars of the health care system, and an essential part of the health care team. They have been working tirelessly every day for Manitobans, often working short-staffed, alongside other team members who receive COVID pay and other incentives.

Health care support staff have yet to see any of these incentives which would help with the retention of staff, and acknowledge their importance as part of the health care team.

We have been waiting patiently, but we are worried we will once again be left behind.

We are calling Audrey Gordon, Minister of Health, to do everything possible to ensure the health authorities are providing health care support workers with incentives that would help with staff retention and morale.

Manitobans count on health care support workers to care for them.
