HEU Lion’s Gate Hospital members to “lunch” with Katherine Whittred today at 11:45 a.m.
Members of the Hospital Employees’ Union (CUPE) from Lion’s Gate Hospital and other health facilities on the North Shore will gather to “lunch” at the constituency office of Long-Term Care and Seniors Minister Katherine Whittred beginning at 11:45 a.m. today.
The lunch break visit to the North Vancouver-Lonsdale MLA to protest the Campbell Liberal’s extreme agenda in health care follows on the heels of a demonstration by seniors, their families and caregivers from West Vancouver’s Capilano Care Centre.
They took their outrage at the proposed long-term care facility’s closure from the foot of Lion’s Gate Bridge to Whittred’s office earlier this morning.
