CUPE Local 873, representing ambulance paramedics across B.C., will warn at a news conference tomorrow (Friday) of a major danger to patients’ lives due to the provincial government’s planned cuts to health care and the effect this will have on the B.C. Ambulance Service.

Place: Vancouver General Hospital’s

emergency ward entrance off 12th Avenue

Time: 10 a.m.

Date: Friday, February 8

Speakers: John Strohmaier, President CUPE Local 873, as well as ambulance paramedics and representatives of the B.C. Nurses’ Union, the Health Sciences Association and the Hospital Employees’ Union.
