Flight attendants at Air Transat turned down a tentative agreement this week, giving their bargaining committee a strong strike mandate.

The charter carrier employs 1100 flight attendants based in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.

Negotiations with the employer resumed December 13 in the presence of a federal mediator. If no progress is made, a strike date will be set.
