Brightly-coloured kids’ posters point to environmental solutions all of us should act on to make our communities greener.  Each year, CUPE’s National Environment Committee holds its Earth Day Colouring Contest and hundreds of students express their ideas for a more sustainable and healthy planet.

This year’s winners point to steps such as planting more trees, cutting back on waste, walking rather than driving, conserving resources, and recycling as ways we can all reduce our environmental impact to help deal with climate change, air, water and soil contamination, degraded agricultural lands, and natural habitat loss.

Ten students were selected to win green certificates and environmental prizes from CUPE National.

Congratulations to all of the students who submitted their artwork.
